Thanks to more than 60 years of concentrated further development of our core business, our company now specialises in producing grids and meshes of all kinds for our customers. We provide products both for retail and directly for end customers. Our company was founded in 1945 as a metalworking company with subdivisions for fencing and door construction. Even in its early years, the company incorporated a small mechanical engineering department, in order to design wire processing machines for in-house use. In the 1970s, wire weaving developed into an equally important source of income for the company. In 1978, the first fully automatic production facility for corrugated grids and stamping grids was built, the company relocated to Erkrath and new markets were opened up thanks to the company concentrating on manufacturing wire meshes. In 1995, the product range was expanded to include spot-welded grids and profile edgings. Manufacturing is now carried out on four fully automated production lines.

The introduction of the atmospheric plasma machines in particular opened up the market for materials that are difficult to treat at high feed rates. 1991 - Another physical treatment principle, “flame treatment”, was introduced. 1985 - Arcotec GmbH was founded. Pretreatment systems 1976 - Development and deployment of the world’s first plasma machine with open jet electrodes (Arcojet®) for treating plastic moulded parts; this works with electric plasma. Pretreatment systems 1975 - Production of the pretreatment machines begins using high-frequency corona. Pretreatment systems 1974 - Fritz Bloss founded an independent commercial agency.

Over 35 years ago, we laid the groundwork for our current company by opening a nail studio, which still seemed outlandish at that time. Instead of importing expensive products from overseas, we quickly began to develop and market our own products in cooperation with regional suppliers and by contributing our own practical experience. This is how we became the largest German manufacturer of UV light curing devices back in the 1990s. We have accompanied and helped to shape the now completed conversion of light curing from classic fluorescent tubes to efficient LED curing on an equal footing with the changing times.
